About Hoot…

Jefferson “Hoot” Owle has over three decades of experience in design and crafting with wood, plastics, and other materials. He follows his passion for costume and prop making, and he has taken that to the next level with turned boxes and pens, flutes, jewelry, cosplay props, and other beautiful and functional works of art.

Hoot designed this logo and burns it onto most of his original creations.

Flute construction: after cutting the inside of the flute into two pieces of wood, Hoot glues and clamps the pieces together. Once the glue is dry, he'll shape the outside.

First experiments with forging: Hoot turned a railroad spike into a knife.
Hoot also enjoys building props for cosplay. This is Zabimaru from Bleach crafted with different types of foam, fabrics, and foam-friendly craft paints.
